About
A one-woman rescue, for now
Willie’s Whisker Rescue rescues, fosters and rehomes cats from Schenectady, NY. It became official in 2026, and right now it’s mostly one very determined person.
Meet Paige
Paige was rescuing and fostering cats around Schenectady before Willie’s had a name. Today she runs it on top of a full-time job: she does all of the rescuing and all of the driving, and fosters about 80% of the cats in her own home.
Her goal is to build Willie’s up until it can bring on more foster homes and, eventually, hire help, so the rescue can say yes to more cats.

Who Willie is, how you met, and why the rescue carries the name. A real story behind a rescue’s name is one of the first things people remember and repeat.
